This position will develop, direct and manage a multi-disciplinary, multi-faceted STEAM education program that includes summer and year round learning at the specified site.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
▪Plan and execute daily STEAM activities at the specified club
▪Develop long term and short term goals with Director to impact strategies for STEAM program
▪Assure objectives for program and activities correlate with short and long-term goals
▪Maintain accurate and complete records on all program activities and attendance as required
▪Select, develop, and evaluate program curriculum for STEAM Labs
▪Ensure program quality by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests
▪Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop multi-disciplinary, STEAM-focused, summer and school year learning curricula for elementary, middle and high school age members
▪Research STEAM Educational topics based on interest and needs of Boys & Girls Club members
▪Meet with Director to develop schedule and coordinate resources when applicable
▪Attend networking events to promote STEAM program with local and regional partners
▪Assume other duties as assigned
▪Maintain close, daily contact with STEAM Director professional staff.
▪Have regular contact with members.
▪Maintain contact with external community groups, recruit volunteers, schools, parent groups and others.
▪Build relationships with individuals, organizations and corporations to enhance STEAM education based programs.
▪Strong organizational, classroom management and communication skills
▪Up-date on latest developments in STEAM education
▪Prior experience with Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization
